Plussize model Tess Holliday breaks down in tears as she appeared on The Meredith Show.
Holliday, who after years of trying was finally signed by a modeling agency, who are hailing her as the largest professional plus-size model in the business spoke to host Meredith Viera about her struggles to become a model and her joy at finally being offered a contract by MiLK Model Management
Tess said: "Its something that you dream of but its not something that you really think would happen!"
She added: "Agencies would always tell me id never be a model because im too short and too big."
At school the insults were bad too, she said: "I was told constantly that i was a loser and i wasnt smart and i was actually forced to drop out because of bullying"
After posting pics online of herself in various dress styles she quickly got many followers and it wasnt long before the owner of MiLK Model Management called her. Tess recalls: "I love your look, I love what youre doing and I love how empowering you are and I want you to be part of my team. I didnt even think it was real"
Although her rise to fame, Tess still gets thousands of mean messages a day via twitter and still remembers being the 13 year old bullied schoolgirl. Tearing up she said: "The 13yr old who always thought she wasnt good enough. I always have to fight it back because i didnt think that this would be something that i would be able to do
