Clothing Company Concoct April Fools Prank Which Makes Us PAWS
If it's an early April Fools' hoax then it is a cute one.
American Eagle Outfitters have invited shoppers to preview their first-ever matching clothing line for dogs and their owners.
The line, which has been aptly called 'American Beagle Outfitters', is supposedly launching in the spring but according to the calendar April 1st is merely days away.
Designed to perfectly match their owner's on-trend American Eagle wardrobe, the canine collection features must-haves such as slimming doggy jeggings, fur-friendly bikinis and statement accessories, creating head-to-tail looks that compliment the unique style and personality of every pooch, big or small.
American Eagle Outfitters Style Director, Preston Konrad said: "Your dog's style is another form of expressing your own, and we are thrilled to bring American Eagle fashionable looks to our pups with the debut of American Beagle Outfitters."
The website informs customers while they await the debut of American Beagle to hit retail stores, they are invited to sign up for the waitlist and receive 20% off American Eagle purchases, with $1.00 per order benefiting the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
Last year, the clothing company created a similar viral prank by releasing the fake "Skinny Skinny jean" - denim spray which allowed you to paint jeans on your body.
American Eagle Outfitters didn't confirm it was an April Fools joke but said they will be in touch next week with more details.

Haunting Image Gets Photography Contest Seal Of Approval
A photographer's haunting shot of a seal floating amongst a kelp forest has been selected as the winning image in a global competition.
Named best overall phot, the shot was taken by American Kyle McBurnie and shows the harbor seal peering through a kelp forest near San Diego in America.
Meanwhle, a British photographer's stunning shot of a spiky lionfish swimming after a shoal of fish was also one of the winning photographs from the University of Miami's annual Underwater Photography contest.
The colourful purple and orange creature can be seen swimming on a wreck in the spectacular snap by Alex Tattersall, who lives in Bournemouth, Dorset, which won first place in the wide-angle category of the
From small shrimps to huge hammerheads, the competition held by the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science attracted more than 700 entries from across the world.
The remarkable pictures reveal a hidden world of colourful creatures of all shapes and sizes living deep beneath our oceans.
"I took the photo when I was diving on a big wreck of a Second World War ship in the Red Sea in Egypt," said Alex, who has been taking underwater pictures for five years.
"I was about 20 metres down under the sea and took lots of shots but this was the one that came out the best.
"I love taking underwater pictures as it is very peaceful and you have access to a hidden world which only a small minority of people gets to see."
A panel of experts judged the photos, which came from 23 countries and awards were given in three categories, macro, fish or marine animal portrait and wide angle.
A pretty pink anemone shrimp snapped by American Beth Watson grabbed first place in the macro section.

'Bambi' Rescued From Frozen Pond
Like a scene from Bambi this two-year-old deer got into trouble when it stepped onto very thin ice.
The youngster struggled in vain to get its footing after venturing onto a frozen pond in Fareham, Hampshire.
However, it then got into even more dire straits when its legs crashed through the ice.
And unlike the young deer in the Disney animated classic this deer had no Thumper the rabbit to lend a helping hand.
Instead, the fallow deer was plucked to safety by animal rescue specialists from Fareham and Havant fire service and the RSPCA.
Concerned motorists dialled 999 after spotting the deer stranded on the 45ft wide pond.
After slipping and sliding on the ice the animal's legs sank into the water and, exhausted from its struggles, it was unable to free itself.
In order to rescue the deer firefighters inflated two ice rescue paths and pushed them out to where it was stuck.
Crew members wearing special equipment then edged out carefully until they were ble to grab the deer and bring it back to safety.
It was then taken to a nearby RSPCA centre to warm up and be checked over before being released back into the wild.
