The sisters decided that, for the sake of the children, it would be better to have a quick death and opened a window to face Hamas militants. The group of terrorists waiting outside ordered them to come out. Eventually, they separated Sharon from the group, leaving Danielle with her daughter and niece. Once in Gaza, a terrorist pulled Emma away from Danielle, who pleaded with them in Arabic not to take her away. Former Israeli hostage Danielle Aloni returns to site of abduction
EXCLUSIVE: June 27, 2024 - Nir Oz, Israel: Danielle Aloni returns for the first time to the house she was kidnapped from on October 7, 2023 during the Hamas terror attack. Aloni, 44, and her 6-year-old daughter, Emilia, were in Kibbutz Nir Oz visiting Danielle's sister Sharon Aloni Cunio when Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7. Hamas set her family’s home on fire, when Sharon, her 3-year-old daughter, Emma, Danielle took shelter in the safe room that was quickly filling with smoke. During that time, Sharon’s husband was captured alongside Emma’s twin sister, Yuli. Danielle recalls covering Emilia with a blanket and holding her in her arms telling her ‘I’m sorry, we’re going to die." The sisters decided that, for the sake of the children, it would be better to have a quick death and opened a window to face Hamas militants. The group of terrorists waiting outside ordered them to come out. Eventually, they separated Sharon from the group, leaving Danielle with her daughter and niece. Once in Gaza, a terrorist pulled Emma away from Danielle, who pleaded with them in Arabic not to take her away. Danielle and her daughter were eventually released on November 24 following treatment at the hospital. Emilia is suffering from serious post-traumatic issues. Danielle’s sister Sharon and her 3-year-old twin daughters, Yuli and Emma, were released on Nov. 27, while her sister’s husband, David Cunio, is still captive in Gaza.
