A plan to turn a huge area of desert into a high tech food producing hub that is also a tourist attraction , has been unveiled.
It would see a massive greenhouse-like structure snake through the landscape.
Inside it would be fruits and vegetables grown in optimum conditions making use of recycled water and powered by renewable energy.
The construction would also feature homes, officers, hospital and higher education facilities for the study and development of new indoor farming techniques.
Around the outside of the development would be landscape areas with sports and more leisure facilities
The scheme will develop the world’s largest so-called agritourism destination outside the middle Eastern city of Dubai in the UAE.
It will provide food security and entertainment, whilst also creating more than 10,000 jobs & promoting a green economy.
Called the Agri Hub, it has been created by local design and architectural company URB.
