Kylie Minogue was all smiles today and it's no wonder considering she has been officially named as Australia's best-known personal brand name. The pop princess has the most powerful branding of any famous Australian, according to a marketing and entertainment industry survey. This takes into account her music, acting, perfume and underwear ventures. Supermodel Elle Macpherson came in at second, followed by cricketer Shane Warne. The results were put together by 400 Australian marketers and advertisers who had to list who they believed had developed their careers to the point where they were more famous or profitable for being themselves than simply from being in their chosen fields.

While leaving Heathrow airport on the way back to America Paris Hilton sent a campaign message with her t-shirt.
After US presidential hopeful John McCain used the socialite and part time movie star in an advert attacking Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, Paris responded with a surprisingly coherent 'green' policy statement of her own.
In the McCain advert the Republican likens Barack Obama's popularity with that of Ms Hilton and claims the Democrat is no more than a celebrity candidate who is not ready to lead the nation.
Hitting back at the controversial advert Paris then released a mocking campaign ad of her own; wearing only a skimpy leopard-print bathing costume, the 27-year-old posed for the ad reclining on a sun lounge beside a swimming pool.
"Hey America, I'm Paris Hilton and I'm a celebrity too," she says. "Only I'm not from the olden days and I'm not promising change like that other guy. I'm just hot.
"But then that wrinkly white-haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I'm running for president".
However, what has actually got everyone talking is the energy plan she then goes on to detail - a plan that is actually being viewed by some as a good idea.
"Barack wants to focus on new technologies to cut foreign oil dependency and McCain wants offshore drilling," she says. "Well why don't we do a hybrid of both candidates ideas. We can do limited offshore drilling, with strict environmental oversight, while using tax incentives to get Detroit making hybrid and electric cars. Sneakers made from real blood recycled from slaughterhouses, have been unveiled.The Meat Factory line was created by Israeli designer Shahar Livne in collabpration ith German footwear company Nat-2 and its boss Sebastien Thies.Shahar developed a new handmade leather-like bio-material by using fat and bones derived materials from the waste streams of slaughterhouses in the Netherlands.Shen then used the wasted blood as a colorant and a plasticizer.She said she was inspired by the construction and de-construction of living subjects in the food industryOther materials used in this concept shoe are finest bio nappa leather, glass, a real cork insole and real rubber outsoles.The shoes are made entirely by hand in Italy and cost €1,000 (one thousand) Euros a pair.A spokesman for Nat-2 said:” The extraordinary material mix gives the product an absolute new feel and look, never experienced in footwear before. “Every pair is unique by nature."
