The red part represents cells which divide and multiply, the blue part represents pure water, which can flow and change shape. In it's present form, it is mimicking humans. It was conceptualized by Japanese illustrator Kohei Yamashita, selected from among 33,197 submissions. Recorded by Guinness World Records as the world's largest wooden structure, it's two kilometer (1.2 mi.) circumference and 20 meter (65 ft.) height is constructed from thousands of Japanese cedar and cypress trees. Designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto in the style of Japanese temples and shrines, it is intended to express the concept of "Unity in Diversity".
