American wrestling event WrestleMania could be staged at an open-air football stadium in London in 2027, Mayor Sadiq Khan has indicated.
As part of his promise to bring more world-class sporting events to the capital, Mr Khan held talks at City Hall on Thursday with WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) president Nick Khan and chief content officer, Paul "Triple H" Levesque.

Sadiq vows to expand the programme to 30 neighbourhoods by the end of his third term
Research shows the most effective way to prevent violence is to provide communities with the resources and support they need to support young people and disrupt the cycle of violence
Sadiq Khan has today (Monday 29 April) pledged an additional £7.8m to extend his flagship programme to tackle violent crime in the capital. If Sadiq is re-elected on 2 May the major new investment will deliver a host of positive opportunities for young people in 11 of the capital’s neighbourhoods most affected by crime.
