    Dr Gilbreth, who is the first recipient of the Frank B Gilbreth Medal, has done work for Work Study; for the elimination of fatigue; for the disabled and the cardiac; for the development of psychology and physiology in industrial problems.

    Stirling Moss flew in from Nassau, Bahamas, where he had been holidaying after his racing mishap.
    He was greeted this afternoon by his parents at London Airport. His firm, Stirling Moss Ltd, said last week that he will not race again this year, but will undergo some private tests.

    Three hundred of Britain's leading business executives listened to a lecture from this 75 year old grandmother, Dr Lillian Gilbreth, the originator of ' motion study '. The mother of eleven married children and America's ' Women of the Year ' in 1948, she addressed the executives on " motion study for the future " during the conference and exhibition held in the Connaught Rooms, London. The conference discussed ways of increasing management efficiency by new methods and apparatus, and saw an exhibition and demonstration of method improvements in British industry.

    SHAW'S HOUSEKEEPER AT CREMATION

    As people gathered outside heard the ceremony relayed over loudspeakers, the remains of Mr George Bernard Shaw were cremated at Golders Green , London , crematorium today. In accordance with the wishes of MrShaw, the last rites were private, attended only by members of the family and staff of the playwright, and close friends.
