SATAN ' S LITTLE BROTHER REVEALED AFTER NINE MONTHS DIGGING THAMES IS BOMBS ALLY

Bomb disposal men of the Royal Engineers digging for Satan ' s little brother, unexploded 500 pound German bomb at Silvertown, London, now have exposed the bomb to view after nine months digging. the bomb is stuck head first in sticky tar impregnated shingle in a tar distillers yard. It is expected to be ready for removal in about a fortnight. Work is possible only at low tide and for about four hours on either side of it, because at high tide water pours into the 30 feet deep shaft. As low tide gets later each day, the men now work until the small hours of the morning.
Photo Shows: Royal Engineers of the British Army removing shingle from the 30 feet deep shaft at the bottom of which lies the bomb. the bucket is encrusted with tar.

    China E-waste Poisoning China
**EMBARGOED in UK until January 2008** Workers collect computer power supplies in Guiyu, China on Friday Dec. 6, 2007. Most of the world's e-waste is still processed in China and India. The EU have banned the practice but the United States has yet to implement legislation to prevent it.
China now produces more than a million tons of e-waste each year. Much of the world?s high-tech trash is exported to Asia, and 90 percent of this heads into China. The waste that comes from recycling electronic parts is highly toxic, releasing such poisonous metals as chromium, cadium, and lead. As much as 6.5 pounds of lead dust can be released when recycling electronic parts. (FOTO: DUKAS/WORLDPICTURENEWS)

Army Bomb disposal experts are currently dealing with an unexploded air drop World War 2 era SC 250kg German Bomb near the Shard in Bermondsey.

The bomb will have been dropped over London by the Luftwaffe in the 1940s but unusually did not detonate. It has lain undisturbed deep in the ground for 70 years but was uncovered today during construction works.

Bomb disposal teams from Shorncliffe Troop 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Royal Logistic Corps and sappers from 36 Engineer Regiment Explosive Ordnance Disposal are involved in excavating the device so that it can be safely diffused. The operation to excavate the device will take all night as its position is awkward. The fuse is underneath and trenches will have to be dug carefully beneath the bomb in order to access the fuse.
