A projection on Frinstead House in west London on the eve of the second anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire.
'This building has no sprinklers': Grenfell United's 12-storey-high guerrilla messages. Group beams huge projections on high-rises to highlight fire safety crisis.
Tower blocks across England have been lit up in a series of guerrilla projections highlighting a national fire safety crisis that appears to be getting worse rather than better on the eve of the second anniversary of the Grenfell disaster. Pictured: Manchester: Grenfell United project a message onto the NV Buildings, a block of luxury apartments at Salford Quays, highlighting the continued use of cladding on many high rise tower blocks two years after the Grenfell fire in London.
Message reads: “ Two years after Grenfell and this building is still covered in dangerous cladding.”

NEWS - London: Ein Jahr nach dem Brand im Grenfell Tower
?Grenfell Tower has been illuminated green as the community comes together to mark one year since the devastating fire at the west London high-rise claimed 72 lives. Twelve tower blocks near Grenfell were illuminated from 54 minutes past midnight, the time of the first 999 call reporting the fire, to mark exactly twelve months since the June 14 tragedy. It is part of a series of commemorations and vigils taking place this week to remember the victims of the fire, which was the most deadly domestic blaze since the Second World War. Grieving members of the north Kensington community have also gathered for a 24-hour vigil, at which the names of the 72 victims will be read out at a private service in St Clement’s Church. A year on Grenfell Tower is lit up in green

Children who lost homes and loved ones in Grenfell held a private memorial service at the base of the tower in the run-up to the first anniversary. The group of 40 youngsters laid flowers in a heart-shaped wreath, held a minute’s silence and released 72 balloons during the poignant ceremony. Shermia Edwards, 13, read out a poem she wrote in memory of her great-uncle Raymond Bernard, who was found dead in the top-floor flat where he had lived for 30 years. Shermia, whose school St Francis of Assisi is close to the tower, now goes to a secondary school in Camden. She said: "I wanted to show people what I felt, and the poem was the best way I could express it."
