2007 Turner Prize Winner Artist Mark Wallinger
Mark Wallinger has been named the winner of the Turner Prize for his replica of the one-man anti-war protest in Parliament Square, State Britain. Artist Mark Wollinger is pictured here at his studio in Vauxhall, London. He is a British artist, best known for his sculpture for the empty fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square, Ecce Homo (1999), State Britain (2007) a recreation at Tate Britain of Brian Haw's protest display outside parliament and as a contributor to the 1997 groundbreaking Sensation exhibition. He was a Turner Prize nominee in 1995, and was nominated for the second time in 2007.

Benaud Was A Test Cricket All-rounder Blending Thoughtful Leg Spin Bowling With Lower-order Batting Aggression. Along With Fellow Bowling All-rounder Alan Davidson He Helped Restore Australia To The Top Of World Cricket In The Late 1950s And Early 1960s After A Slump In The Early 1950s. In 1958 He Became Australia's Test Captain Until His Retirement In 1964. Gideon Haigh Described Him As '... Perhaps The Most Influential Cricketer And Cricket Personality Since The Second World War.' In His Review Of Benaud's Autobiography Anything But Sri Lankan Cricket Writer Harold De Andrado Wrote: 'richie Benaud Possibly Next To Sir Don Bradman Has Been One Of The Greatest Cricketing Personalities As Player Researcher Writer Critic Author Organiser Adviser And Student Of The Game.' He Was Made An Officer Of The Order Of The British Empire In 1961 For Services To Cricket. In 2007 He Was Inducted In The Australian Cricket Hall Of Fame At The Allan Border Medal Award Evening And In 2009 He Was Inducted Into The Icc Cricket Hall Of Fame In 1967 Benaud Married Daphne Surfleet Who Had Worked For The English Cricket Writer E.w.
