Myrninerest: The Outside Life of Madge Gill is the sixth instalment in The Newham Plays, a critically acclaimed series of site-specific, localist-driven plays rooted in Newham's history, culture, and people.
Created and written by James Kenworth, the plays are a unique collaboration between a professional creative team working alongside students from Newham schools and young actors from local youth groups/theatres.
Madge Gill (1882-1961) was one of the foremost British Outsider artists. She felt an instinctive compulsion to create, resulting in an outpouring that flowed effortlessly and spontaneously from an altered state of consciousness. Working under the control of Myrninerest, her spirit guide, Madge Gill’s art remains an enigma.

Marine Biologist Emily Madge and the enormous 4 kilo Crawfish, What a Crawsome crustacean! Marine Biologist Emily Madge (21), from the Weymouth Sealife centre, struggles to hold on to this enormous 4 kilo Crawfish, which was caught by amazed fisherman off the Dorset coast. Experts estimate that 2 foot long sea creature must be nearly 50 years old and is the first seen in south coast waters for over 10 years.

CRAW BLIMEY! THE 3FT LONG, 12LB MONSTER FROM THE DEEP
This is the monster from the deep that was caught in the English Channel for the first time in 10 years.
Stunned fisherman Martin Foley got the shock of his life when he pulled his nets up and found the colossal crawfish.
The crustaceans are normally found in colder waters off the Scottish coast but it is believed some have moved south because of the recent cold winter in England.
This 3ft long specimen is about 50 years old and weighs 12lbs. It was found five miles east off Portland, Dorset.
Mr Foley, 55, initially thought about selling it to the fish market because crawfish can fetch a high price as they are quite rare.
Instead the fish was spared from the dinner plate and Martin took it to his local Sea Life Centre in Weymouth.
Crawford - as he has been named - will now go on display in the attraction's Bay of Ray's tank.
Anna Russell, a marine expert at the Sea Life Centre, said: "Crawfish prefer really cold water and hence are most common around the Scottish coast.
"That's why we gave him a Scottish name.
"His appearance was especially surprising given global warming is meant to be making our waters warmer.
"In recent years we have had wanderers from further south caught here like marbled electric rays, sunfish and sea turtles.

Madonna and the kids go to Kaballah
Madonna and her two boys, David and Rocco exit her car on the way into a Saturday Morning Kabbalah Session in Beverly Hills, CA. It has been quite a long time since Madonna has visited this, her home Kabbalah Center. With young David in her arms, Madonna arrives on time for the session. David is looking more like a little boy than a baby these days, with the bill of his hat fashionably upside down.
