Drowning light is an immersive project by Artist & Photographer Rhys Frampton. The British born artist’s first solo presentation in the UK, featuring Royal Ballet Principal Matthew Ball and original composition by Guy Chambers.

Drowning Light reimagines Icarus through an evocative blend of photography, contemporary ballet, and video projection. Created by artist and photographer Rhys Frampton, with sculptures by Andrian Melka and original music by Guy Chambers. This immersive experience explores themes of ambition, vulnerability, and descent. The exhibition layers Frampton’s photography, film, and documentary elements to capture the fragile beauty of a moment suspended between rise and ruin, as light and shadow play across figures dancing on the edge of aspiration and fall.

The first solo exhibition in the UK for Indonesian artist Citra Sasmita, this exhibition spans painting, sculptural installation,?embroidery and scent. This symbolic, multi-sensory journey through the 90-metre-long gallery explores themes of ancestral memory, ritual and migration.

Brand new works, never previously exhibited
A series of expansive, spectacular, colourful installations stretching across the vibrant red 90 metre gallery space

Beaded cow hides hanging from salvaged, antique pillars map how migration leaves its traces on the body.

Panoramic, colourful scroll paintings depicting women undergoing transformation and rebirth: becoming trees and birds, emitting flaming auras, and pouring forth water and blood.

Large scale paintings on python skins enshrined by long braids of hair.
Flags of embroidered textiles descend from the ceiling, made in collaboration with women artisans in west Bali. Featuring hybrid plant-woman beings, they honour the history of women herbalists.
