Painting With Lights by Philippe Echaroux, Marseille, France - Mar 2014

Painting With Lights by Philippe Echaroux
Haunting faces have been appearing at locations around France.
The arty apparitions are the work of Philippe Echaroux, who calls his work 'Painting With Lights'.
Philippe says he wanted to make street art that did not deface property and would only last for a fleeting moment.
He works by hooking a projector up to a computer and portable generator and then beaming portraits onto trees, buildings, harbour walls and rock faces.
Explaining what he calls "Street Art 2.0.", Philippe says: "My goal was, as a photographer, to give back the light I captured every day.
"In my street art vision, I am aiming to produce an art that never gives any clue of its passage. I mean doing some street art, yes, but non-destructive one.
"I love the Banksy work, and all the graffiti style, I just don't feel like doing the same. That for me is what a real artist must be, someone trying to produce new things.
"More I like my art to be like playing a song live, it exists only few minutes but it can stay forever in your head."
