It looks like a scene from 1980 cult comedy classic Caddyshack, but this cheeky gopher-like ground squirrel is very real - and not too shy to appear in a selfie.
Stacey Wallace, 28, found herself with an unusual photo opportunity when the rodent popped out of its hole in search of nuts.
Stacey, from Vancouver, shot the hilarious pictures at Lightning Lake in British Columbia's Manning Park in Summer.
She explains: "In order to get the selfie I laid on the ground metres away from the squirrel and slowly crawled towards him until I got close enough so that we were both in the shot. I took all the photos with my iPhone front camera."

One of the Expedition 34 crew members aboard the International Space Station captured this still image of Super Typhoon Bopha on Dec. 2, 2012. The storm was bearing down on the Philippines with winds of 135 miles per hour. Meteorologists are predicting that the storm will make landfall on Mindanao in the early morning of Dec. 4 local time, as either a category 4 or 5.
Typhoon Bopha heading toward the Philippines - 02 Dec 2012
Super Typhoon Bopha made landfall in the southern Philippines early Tuesday.
Super Typhoon Bopha has estimated wind speeds around 160 miles per hour with gusts over 195 miles per hour or roughly 170 knots.
The equivalent to a category-five hurricane, the storm came ashore in the southern province of Davao at dawn, uprooting trees and blowing off roofs.
Residents in flood-prone areas were moving into shelters, ABC reported.
On Monday, Philippine President Benigno Aquino warned the public to take storm warnings seriously. "The potential destruction of this typhoon is no joke," Aquino said in a national television and radio address.

Two crop circles featuring the face of Jesus appear in fields either side of a motorway, near Hungerford, Berkshire, Britain - 04 Aug 2010

Motorway Crop Messiahs
Jesus has cropped up alongside a motorway in Berkshire.
Two crop circles depicting the face of the Messiah have appeared on either side of the M4 near Hungerford.
The two images, both 250 feet in diameter, were formed in crops of wheat.
The almost identical circles seem to portray Jesus in similar fashion to the world famous Shroud of Turin.
The Shroud of Turin is a linen cloth which many believe was the cloth used to cover Christ at the time of his burial.
As such, the imprint of a face that can be seen on the shroud is believed to be the face of Jesus himself.
Crop circle expert Karen Alexander commented: "These circles are causing quite a stir in the crop circle community.
"The last time a face appeared as a crop circle was in 2002 when an alien face appeared at Sparsholt in Hampshire.
"The farmers whose land has been used to make the circles are worried that they will be inundated with visitors seeking a religious experience".
