Amadeus pastry chefs with the 46ft (14m) long Yule log
Chefs create 46ft (14m) long Yule log, Birmingham, West Midlands, Britain - 08 Dec 2011
Pastry chefs from Birmingham have created an enormous 46ft (14m) long Yule log. The team from the catering group Amadeus took two days to create the tasty treat. To make it they utilised five kilos of plain flour, 25 kilos of unsalted butter, 11 kilos of caster sugar, five kilos of cocoa powder, 28 kilos of icing sugar and 400 free-range eggs. It will now be donated to Midland Heart, a leading housing and care organisation. Chris Munday, Director for Care and Support at Midland Heart, said: "This is a fantastic achievement and we are absolutely delighted that Amadeus have donated this delicious Yule Log. "We are distributing the log to our customers across a range of our services in Birmingham (FOTO:DUKAS/REX)
