Little House On The Prairie alum Alison Arngrim, 63, makes a very rare public appearance as she runs errands on a sunny afternoon in Los Angeles. The popular actress, who played resident mean girl Nellie Oleson on the popular Western drama series from 1974 to 1982, was spotted visiting an apartment complex in Westwood on the afternoon of June 18, 2025, where she stayed for over an hour. She showed off trendy blue finger nails and wore a blue top that had a white leaf pattern, blue jeans and red sneakers. In January Netflix announced a reboot of the iconic show, revealing it will be “part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American Westâ€. But a month later Alison confirmed that she and other OG cast members are unlikely to be involved. “None of us, as far as I know, our gang, are in at this point,†she revealed in an interview with ReMIND website.

Porky Prairie Dog In Need Of New Year Diet
With the start of the New Year this porky prairie dog looks in desperate need of a diet.
It would appear that the chunky critter has taken the idea of fattening up for winter just a tad too far.
Indeed the roly poly animal's stomach is so large that it looks barely able to walk.
But despite its impressive girth the Black-tailed Prairie Dog clearly feels that there is room for more and was spotted clutching a tasty treat between its paws.

Prairie Light, Manitoba was taken on a fam near Brandon, Manitoba, Canada
Model Train Crosses Canada In Amazing Photography Project
A stunning photography project showing a train crossing Canada is made even more amazing by the fact the train is just two inches tall.
Jeff Friesen's work captures the travels of a GBP 950 scale model vintage 1955 streamliner passenger train against picturesque landscapes.
Entitled The Canadian: Ghost Train Crossing Canada, the series evolved from Jeff's wish to show off his native country.
He explains: "I started The Canadian project to show Canada from an unexpected vantage point.
"The journey has a surprise twist: I carry the train rather than it carrying me. At just two inches (5 cm) tall, it fits into a shopping bag.
"While it is tempting to document such a huge country from a helicopter or plane (in fact, it has been done several times) I wanted to get closer to the heart of the land. Two inches off the ground seemed about right.
"The model train provides a vehicle for the journey's visual narrative, linking far places with a ribbon of tiny steel rails. The train has its own resonance: a ghost from the past, it is an exact scaled-down replica of the 1955 Streamliner that was first named "The Canadian," which travelled the route between Montreal and Vancouver.
"There is some peril in introducing a model train to the full scale world. In Nova Scotia the train fell into a fast moving stream and was quickly carried to the Atlantic shore. In Ontario's Algonquin Park the train fell off a log into a marsh of thick mud and dark water. I had to feel for the train in the bog's murky depths...the train wasn't the only thing down there. In Ottawa I was setting up the train behind the Parliament Buildings and was quickly approached...

Prairie dog appears to dance in the snow, Boulder, Colorado, America - 28 Oct 2011
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Palmer/Solent News / Rex Features (1516938e)
Prairie Dog Jive
This light-footed prairie dog caused a stir when he was spotted performing what looked like an extraordinary jive dance routine in the snow.
With his head raised to the sky, the twinkle toes crossed his tiny paws over and lifted his feet in a jive-like routine.
The hilarious spectacle was caught on camera in Boulder, Colorado by photographer Rob Palmer.
The 58-year-old said: "In the winter these black tailed prairie dogs come out when the sun is shining.
"They like to talk to each other and sometimes make an alarm call if a predator is close. This one probably saw a raptor and sent out a warning"
Prairie dogs, known as the 'ground squirrel', are native to North America.
The animal is known for its distinctive high-pitched warning call, which sounds very similar to a dog's bark.
The call alerts others in the groups to the presence of a potential predator and it is thought the sound varies depending on what the threat is.
Past research by animal behaviour experts has suggested the animals have a very complex system of communication.
It is thought different warning calls contain specific information - including how big a predator is and how fast it is approaching.
