Hunter Janus van Vliet from the Dutch city Hazerswoude has shoot Wednesday 15-10-2014 -on the first day of the hare hunting season- traditionally (for 50 years now) a hare for his own meal. This time it went a bit more difficult than other years. Janus is recovering from a back injury and has tot move temporarily with a walker. Yet he managed to shoot a hare. This season, there are a remarkable number of hares in the Netherlands, thanks to the dry spring and good summer. Because hares in the winter months causing much feeding damage on the trees of the nurserymen around Hazerswoude, Van Vliet has often to go out this fall for hunting the bunnies***
