Bangladesh: Maha Navami Parade 2025
October 1, 2025, Kirtipasha, Dhaka, Bangladesh: On the occasion of the Kirtipasha Sarbojonin Durga Utsab, a centuries-old tradition was once again observed. For over 400 years, on the day of Maha Navami, a band party parade has been held through the local marketplace, a ritual symbolizing prayers for peace and prosperity. Traders, shopkeepers, and locals participate each year to uphold this unique cultural heritage. Continuing the legacy, on October 1, 2025, businessmen and residents once again paraded through the market and surrounding streets, keeping alive this enduring tradition.
