March For The Global Sumud Flottila's 5 French MPs And All Other Prisonners Jailed By Israel
As the Global Sumud Flotilla is stopped by Israel and its members are jailed, people in Toulouse, France, on October 4, 2025, take to the streets to demand the liberation of all flotilla members detained in Israel and to denounce the current Israeli onslaught in Gaza. Five French MPs from the France Unbowed party, including Francois Piquemal (a Toulouse MP), and the leader of the CGT union of Haute-Garonne are arrested and detained in Israel. Several hundred protesters participate in the march. The last gathering called by the CGT, FSU, and SUD unions is violently attacked by riot police on October 2, as the Prefect decides to forbid the gathering and the march one and a half hours before it begins. Riot police charge and clash violently with peaceful protesters and unionists using tear gas and pepper spray. The Israeli onslaught in Gaza is deemed 'genocide' by the CPI and several NGOs such as Amnesty International, HRW, and PHR. Israel crosses all the red lines of humanitarian laws and even laws of war. No meaningful humanitarian assistance is delivered to Gaza since March 2, and a UN-related global hunger monitor warns that more than a million people face starvation in Gaza. Now more than 500 Palestinians die of human-made starvation. Since October 7, 2023, nearly 67,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza by the Israeli army. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto) -

Five French MPs from the France Unbowed party, including Francois Piquemal (a Toulouse MP), and the leader of the CGT union of Haute-Garonne are arrested and detained in Israel. Several hundred protesters participate in the march. The last gathering called by the CGT, FSU, and SUD unions is violently attacked by riot police on October 2 as the Prefect decides to forbid the gathering and the march one and a half hours before the beginning. Riot police charge and clash violently with peaceful protesters and unionists using tear gas and pepper spray. The Israeli onslaught in Gaza is deemed 'genocide' by the CPI and several NGOs such as Amnesty International, HRW, PHR, etc.

Pro-Palestinian Tunisians Protest Detention Of Global Sumud Flotilla Activists By Israel
A Tunisian pro-Palestinian man holds up the Palestinian flag as he attends a demonstration in Tunis, Tunisia, on October 4, 2025, to protest Israel's detention of Tunisian activists participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla humanitarian mission and to demand their release. They also protest against what they call the war of extermination and starvation inflicted on the people of Gaza. The Israeli military intercepts the Global Sumud Flotilla ships and detains all participants on board. The Global Sumud Flotilla is an international solidarity mission that sets sail with hundreds of participants, including activists, politicians, humanitarian groups, and public figures from dozens of countries, to break Israel's blockade of Gaza amid the ongoing attacks on the enclave. Participants aim to deliver food, water, and medicine to civilians in Gaza, which faces a humanitarian crisis amid Israel's siege. (Photo by Chedly Ben Ibrahim/NurPhoto)
