June 30, 2025 - Bat Yam, Israel: On the evening of 13 June 2025, Iran launched a large-scale retaliatory attack against Israel, named "Operation True Promise III", firing over 150 ballistic missiles and more than 100 drones, in response to Israeli airstrikes earlier that day on Iranian nuclear facilities and senior military officials as part of Operation Rising Lion. One of the ballistic missiles hit a residential building in Bat Yam. The strike killed 9 people in Bat Yam alone, and damaged dozens of buidings around. Today in an official ceremony Bat Yam honored the victims, among them a Ukrainian family of five who were killed: grandmother Yelena, 54, her daughter Maria Pashkorova, 31, and grandchildren Anastasia,8, Konstantin, 10.5, and Ilya, 15.
