The Most Dangerous Street In Mexico City
November 27, 2025, Mexico, Cdmx, Mexico: In the Alvaro Obregon district of Mexico City is the so-called 'Devil's Descent,' a street with an enormous and extremely steep incline. While minor accidents have occurred, involving motorcycles and cars sliding down the slope, others have been serious, such as when a soft drink truck lost its brakes and control, crashing from one side of the street to the other, knocking down light poles and the wall of a house, injuring two people. Authorities in the area will begin work to replace the concrete surface of the street with granular pavement to improve tire traction and prevent accidents like the most recent one. This street, located in the La Mexicana area, has become a tourist attraction due to its steep incline and the accidents that have gone viral on social media. Curiosity and Descent Stage - Artist's Concept
NASA's Curiosity rover lands on Mars - 06 Aug 2012
This is an artist's concept of the rover and descent stage for NASA's Mars Science Laboratory spacecraft during the final minute before the rover, Curiosity, touches down on the surface of Mars. The descent stage will provide rocket-powered deceleration for a phase of the arrival at Mars after the phases using the heat shield and parachute. The descent stage also carries the radar system providing a stream of information about the spacecraft's altitude and velocity. As it nears the surface, shortly after the moment depicted here, the descent stage will lower the rover on a bridle and deliver it to the ground.

Flights of Fancy: Paul Goldstein's 'In The Air' Wildlife Photography
For photographers, capturing animals in the wild is an art that can take years to master.
But wildlife photographer Paul Goldstein has taken his work to new heights by shooting animals frozen in the air as they leap.
His work sees stunning images showing jumping animals ranging from wildebeest to polar bears.
They include a dramatic flying fight between a baboon and a leopard and the cute, bouncy interaction between a pair of serval kittens.
Paul explains: "Mammals and indeed penguins cannot fly, it would be a physiological miracle if it occurred, but it is wonderful to see them try. It also is rare, which is why I like photographing it as it is a huge challenge. If the shot is successful it always elicits a good response.
"For the money shot there must be no part of the animal attached to a tree/branch/ice or rock. It does not matter if it is an 'air's breath' away, but just nothing touching.
"Air looms high on my agenda, I am obsessed by it, it is exciting photography and frequently original."
Describing the moment the baboon ambushed the leopard, Paul says: "Prime Mates? I don't think so, these are mortal enemies and a whole troop of baboons had 'treed' this young male leopard in the Masai Mara.
"Eventually they left, except one male that waited for the predators descent and jumped out at him. It gave the leopard a good dry slap then the leopard legged it and vaporised in seconds as is their wont.
"Whilst leopards will sometimes kill single baboons, they will avoid whole troops assiduously as they can turn on them. One of my favourite ever photos."

An amazing video shows an iPad descending into space by balloon before plummeting back to Earth.
The jaw-dropping clip was created by G-Form, a U.S. firm which makes protective cases for the Apple product.
The 2m 20s clip sees the tablet attached to a high-altitude weather balloon before ascending quickly to a height of over 100,000ft.
When the balloon bursts, the structure rapidly free-falls back to Earth where it crash lands on a rocky hillside in the Nevada desert. Amazingly, the iPad appears to be fully-functioning.
Rhode Island-based company G-Form used one of their $4.95 Extreme Edge cases for the demonstration.
The company say their product is made from Reactive Protection Technology and finished with a military grade ballistic fabric.
