Olivier Jarry-Lacombe said, “This comet, which has been travelling for millions of years, is not expected to pass close to Earth again for 80,000 years."

"These photos were taken in central France in La Souterraine in the Creuse department. These are pictures of the Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, expected to be the comet of the century. This comet has been visible since October 12 from the northern hemisphere. This comet, which has been travelling for millions of years, is not expected to pass close to Earth again for 80,000 years."

"The comet will be visible for about ten days from our hemisphere. It is visible due west at the very beginning of the night, just after sunset. It is visible for about 1 hour at the moment but should be higher in the sky in the coming days, allowing for a longer observation. On the other hand, its brightness should decrease over the days."
