Waitresses carry pistols at Shooter's Grill
September 6, 2016 - Rifle, Colorado, United States: Carrying her .45 caliber semiautomatic pistol, Lauren Boebert reacts to the outcome of a meeting outside of the Glenwood Springs County Commisioner's meeting room.
Owner Lauren Boebert, a 28-year-old former Miss Junior Colorado and self-described born-again Christian, insists the guns are no gimmick. "It's a way of life. When you walk into Shooters you are walking into America," she said, a compact Ruger 9-millimeter tucked into the small of her back. "This is what America is." The cozy diner, which sits across from a gun shop, has created something of a sensation in this small town on the western slopes of the Rockies. Curiosity seekers form lines out the door. Some drive from Utah, Kansas and Washington for the chance to tuck into an omelet while carrying a gun. (Daniel Bayer/Polaris) (FOTO:DUKAS/POLARIS)

Pro-Palestinian Protest At The US Consulate In Krakow
In Krakow, Poland, on October 16, 2025, police attend a pro-Palestinian protest that disrupts the US Consulate with noise pollution. Participants disrupt the facility with the noise of clanging pots and loudspeakers. Protesters speak about US support for Israel and, in their view, US complicity in the genocide in Gaza. The International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS) and a UN commission announce that Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip meet the legal definition of genocide. The prosecutor of the International Criminal Court requests the issuance of an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. (Photo by Klaudia Radecka/NurPhoto) -

FEATURE - Eine Walther PP-Pistole aus Sean Connerys allererstem Bond-Film Dr. No soll bis 200'000 Dollar einbringen
Julien’s Auctions has announced 'Icons & Idols TRILOGY: Hollywood'.
PICTURE SHOWS: A Walther PP handgun used by Sean Connery as James Bond, 007, in the very first Bond film, Dr. No (EON Productions, 1962). Its estimate is $150,000 to $200,000.
Connery uses this hero weapon throughout the film and helped to establish and define the character that has been featured in books, films and other media for the past nearly six decades. As the cinematic debut of the character of James Bond, the filmmakers and star had to capture the imagination of the public worldwide to create a film series dynamic enough to endure and persevere over time. James Bond has become one of only a handful of genre film franchises that has been a staple of popular culture generation after generation. The silhouette of the Walther PP and PPK has served as the key iconic image for the character of James Bond since the film franchise debuted with Dr. No, and this deactivated handgun was the first of all that followed. One of two employed in the film, this prop was identified by the original film armorer, BAPTY in the UK, who had it until the official BAPTY Archive auction in 2006. It has since been archived in the collection of that buyer for the past 14 years. The weapon is referred to in the film as a Walther PPK by M (Bernard Lee), but in actuality the production used this Walther PP .380 ACP. The weapon includes a Certificate of DeActivation and a letter of provenance from BAPTY.

'Airsoft' pistol recovered by police from Tamir Rice
12-year-old boy carrying replica gun shot dead by police, Cleveland, Ohio, America - 24 Nov 2014
Tamir Rice, aged 12, who was shot dead by police in Cleveland, Ohio after carrying what turned out to be a replica gun in a playground. Police say an officer fired two shots at the boy on Saturday morning after he failed to obey an order to raise his hands. He died in hospital on Sunday morning. A caller reported the child to police for scaring people with a gun but said that he did not know if it was real. The boy was shot twice after pulling the gun from the waistband of his trousers but did not make any verbal threats or point the gun at police. The weapon turned out to be an "airsoft" pistol, a replica gun that resembles a semi-automatic weapon. An orange safety indicator had been removed from the gun which distinguishes it as an imitation. An investigation is underway into the killing with two police officers placed on administrative leave.
