THE NIGHTCLUB THAT CELEBRATES LARGER THAN LIFE LADIES
For ladies who like to live life large a certain Californian club is the place to see and be seen of an evening.
Big is beautiful at Club Bounce in Long Beach - the world's first dance club for plus-sized ladies.
Its regularly packed dance floor is a magnet for BBW (big beautiful women) and the BHM (big handsome men) who love their curves.
The club, which has the tagline 'Where Size And Style Meet', was founded by Lisa Marie Garbo - a 5ft 7in tall, 270 pound self proclaimed 'size-acceptance activist'.
It has proven to be such a success that she has recently opened another in Phoenix and has plans for a third in Dallas.
When opening the club Lisa's aim was to provide a place where women could go and have their size accepted and celebrated.
It is only since hitting 30 that Lisa has learned to love her curves, until then, she says, she felt ugly and unattractive.
It was when she decided to stop putting her life on hold that she first opened the doors of Club Bounce in 2004.
And her efforts are certainly appreciated, as the messages on her website show.
One clubber writes: "It's a positive place to hang out and not feel like the ugly duckling but a beautiful and sexy swan".
However, Lisa says her club has also come in for criticism from some people who say she is promoting obesity.
This is a claim she vehemently denies, saying that many of the women who come to the club are actively trying to shed the pounds.
But why, she asks, must these women sit at home watching TV until the weight, which they may actually never lose, is gone?
Instead they could be celebrating themselves in the body that they have right now, and having a ...

Prince William and Prince Harry launch the Henry Van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, Troubadour Club, London, Britain - 08 Jan 2009
Prince William and Harry have helped officially launch a charity dedicated to one of their close friends. In a first, the two Princes are joint patrons of the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, which was created in memory of an old school friend. The aim of the fund is to help equip schools in Uganda with much-needed facilities. It was created after friends of 18-year-old Henry van Straubenzee contacted his family after he died in 2002 with offers to donate or raise money for a cause in his memory. At a reception at the Troubadour Club in London to launch the charity William spoke of how his mother Diana, Princess of Wales, and Henry died in similar circumstances - fatal car crashes. The first recipient of money from the fund was the Bupadhengo Primary School in Uganda because Henry had planned to spend part of his gap year teaching at the institution. The fund now supports 11 schools in Uganda.

Princes William and Harry made joint patrons of the Henry Van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, Earls Court, London, Britain - 08 Jan 2009
The Princes attended a reception at The Troubadour to mark the formal launch of the Henry Van Straubenzee charity, which was set up as a memorial to Henry who died in a car crash in December 2002.
The joint Patronage marks the first time that The Princes have agreed both to become Patrons of the same charity. Prince William is currently Patron or President of 12 charities or organisations, and Prince Harry is currently Patron of six charities or initiatives (including the Henry Van Straubenzee Memorial Fund).
The Princes became friends with Henry Van Straubenzee at their preparatory school in Ludgrove. Prince Harry and Henry Van Straubenzee studied together in the same year.
Due to the traffic they were forced to abandon their car and walk the final couple of hundred yards
