FEATURE - Gehör ist immer noch perfekt: Ex-Strassenkatze Nora aus Wisconsin lebt nach Operation ohne Ohren
    EXCLUSIVE: *NO RTL USAGES*
Story from Jam Press (No Eared Cat)
Pictured: Nora the cat with no ears that has generated a large following on social media.
Former street cat with NO EARS becomes Instagram star – and her hearing is still perfect
An earless cat has become a social media star – despite the lazy moggy sleeping for up to 20 hours a day.
Nora, from Wisconsin, US, had to have the outer flaps of her ears chopped off after they became infected through years of living on the street.
The domestic shorthair grey tabby mix was eventually rescued and taken to a local vet, who discovered she had chronic ear infections and hematomas.
Vets found the only way to treat her ear canals was to chop off the badly infected flaps – leaving her with an unusual appearance.
Despite initial fears she wouldn't be adopted, Nora was snapped up within a month by veterinary nurse, H Due, and their wife in January 2020.
Although looking like she has no ears, the moggy is still able to hear thanks to vets keeping her ear drums and canals.
So like every other cat in the world, she'll coming running when a packet of Dreamies are shaken.
And true to feline form, Nora's favourite hobby is napping, which she does with the couple's three-legged dog Matilda.
In fact, she loves so much, she sleeps 20 hours a day.
"Nora is an absolute sweetheart. She has no fear whatsoever and greets any person or pet head-on," H told NeedToKnow.online
"She tolerates the other cats, but they don't play with her, and she actively snuggles our two dogs.
"She doesn't appear to be any more sensitive to sound than my other cats.
"She has several pairs of knitted fake ears but we've never had to use earmuffs.
"She's just very lazy, like any other cat."
Nora has earned an army of fans on Instagram (@nora.no.ears) boasting 28,500 followers.
On one picture of the sweet pet, an Instagram user said: "She's so lovely little darling. She doesn't needs ears to look so lovely and *** Local Cap

FEATURE - Sue Bell und Dave Haywood fürchten die Schliessug ihres Rettungszentrums für Dalmatiner Hunde

Sue Bell's dalmation dogs enjoying their home near Newton Abbot, Devon. See story SWTPdalmatian - by Lauren Beavis The couple behind the UK's only Dalmatian sanctuary fear they may be forced to close - unless they can find a new home. Sue Bell, 54, runs the rescue centre alongside partner Dave Haywood, 56, where they live with 31 dogs. The rehomed pooches are treated like "kids" - living inside the converted stable and allowed on the sofas and beds. The couple, who go through a staggering 15kg of dog food a day, have helped more than 400 Dalmatians since they opened in 2016
