An artist has created a series of incredibly detailed life-size dog sculptures made entirely from bicycle parts.
The collection includes a full-size greyhound, cocker spaniels, poodles and other mutts constructed from recycled bike chains, gears, pedals and even bike seats.
Israeli artist Nirit Levav Packer, 49, solders the bike links, that she has collected from motor garages and bike shops all over Tel Aviv, into shapes of giant dogs and then paints them to emphasise their features.
The series, called HOW!WoW!, began by chance when Nirit examined some bicycle parts being thrown away at her son's bike store, instead of seeing them as rubbish she saw a potential to do something creative with them.
Within a few months, she had left a successful career in wedding dress design for metal sculpture.
Nirit said: "The first dog I made was a Rottweiler thinking that the rough edges of the broken metal pieces would loan to the dog's tough persona.
"But instead I was surprised to have created a sculpture that was more friendly and cute than intimidating."
Nirit Levav's bicycle chain dogs sell for between 900 to 9000 Euros.
