Trumps One Big Beautiful Bill Protest In Newark: 'KILL THE BILL'
July 2, 2025, Newark, New Jersey, USA: Demonstrators for the People's Organization for Progress (POP) hold an emergency press conference with other activist groups to 'KILL THE BILL' and to publicly call upon members of the House of Representatives to vote against the budget bill backed by President Trump in front of the Rodino Federal Building, in Newark, New Jersey. (POP) urges everyone to contact their representatives in the House and tell them 'to vote NO and kill Trump's diabolical budget bill.' This exhibition will shed new light on one of the most unforgettable paintings in the Gallery’s Collection: Quinten Massys’ An Old Woman (about 1513). Defying Western canons of beauty and rules of propriety, this arresting figure became known as ‘The Ugly Duchess’ after she inspired John Tenniel’s hugely popular illustrations for Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland (1865). She has remained associated with the world of fairy tale ever since.

Insects are the largest group of animals on earth by far: about 926,400 different species have been described to date.
Estimates of the total number of species range from 2 million to 30 million; estimates of the total number of actual insects in the world usually end up round the 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 mark. For every one of us, there are around 1.5 billion insects. Insects are predominantly small, with details hidden from view, and given their ubiquitous nature, it is no surprise that insects are the subjects of many extreme macro photographs.
The face is older, but the teeth remain the same.

Naughty Dale Alan Lee's epic and incomplete set of teeth first came to the world's attention in 2009 when his buck-tooth arrest mugshot sent the web into overload.

At the time he was dubbed 'Dracula' by the cruel cops who arrested him.

Unfortunately, Dale, 45, hasn't changed his ways and he has seen himself in trouble with the law a couple of times since, the most recent being collared by Florida's Dade City Police Department this month for alleged possession of methamphetamine.

His handful of drug-related arrests may be a pity, but at least his mugshots are proof that bad teeth are not just the domain of the English.

    DALE'S ARREST HISTORY:

    - Arrest for alleged aggravated battery and sale of marijuana - 30/08/2009

    - Arrest for alleged sale and possession of marijuana - 15/10/2010

A baby collared dove photographed at Folly Wildlife Rescue centre. Collared doves (Streptopelia decaocto) are a pretty and fairly commonly seen species in the UK. LIke many pigeon species their young are fairly ugly compared to the adults and this individual is on the cusp of showing its true form as it is growing out of its soft wiry down feathers.
Baby Bird project by Gavin Parsons, Britain - Dec 2011

An adorable project shows the baby birds of Britain in the first days of their lives.

Wildlife photographer Gavin Parsons has worked closely with UK rescue centres to capture chicks bought in for care.

He has spent the last three years photographing some of the baby birds bought into Folly Wildlife Rescue in Sussex and the RSPCA Wildlife Rescue Centre West Hatch in Somerset.

Each year hundreds of hatchlings are bought to rescue centres either after their nests have been disturbed or when they have been mistakenly picked up by well-meaning members of the public after they have fledged.
