A baby goat jumps for joy 5,000ft up a snow covered mountain slope
Jumping baby goat knocks loose 300lb boulder in the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness, Utah, America - 19 Jan 2011
While their proud parents look on these baby goats love jumping for joy while 5,000ft up a snow covered mountain slope. However, it all almost ended in disaster when one fun loving kid accidentally dislodged a 300lb boulder - sending it crashing down the mountain and almost wiping out its entire family. Thankfully, the rocky mountain goats were able to scurry out of the way before the huge rock crashed down the slope. Prison worker Kent Keller photographed the extraordinary sight before he too had to scramble out the way to avoid being hit by the boulder. The father of one took the photographs while on holiday at the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness in Utah, America. Full story: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/8tkt

A ring-tailed lemur jumps over the turtle blocking the path to its feeding den
Ring-tailed lemurs jump over a turtle that's in their way at Indianapolis Zoo, Indiana, America - 06 Jan 2011
What do you do when you're a hungry primate and a slowing moving creature gets in your way? These ring-tailed lemurs came up with the perfect solution - opting to leap over a turtle blocking the path to their feeding den. At first the fluffy creatures appeared baffled when they encountered the shelled creature in their way. Each lemur carefully approached the turtle before turning back - unsure how to negotiate the obstacle. They then gathered in a huddle to discuss their options before one bold primate broke away from the group and decided to make a leap of faith. Drawing close to the turtle, the brave lemur gathered himself before jumping clean over it. Following his lead, the others all followed - with the bemused turtle turning its neck to watch. Photographer Cindy Bendush, 52, snapped the "mission" at Indianapolis Zoo in Indiana, United States.

FEATURE - Am Samstag ist Weltpinguintag 2020
This Saturday (25 April) is World Penguin Day 2020.
British wildlife photographer Paul Goldstein celebrates with a gallery of some of his marvellous penguin images.
Wimbledon-based Paul, a guide for Exodus travels, explains: “Every year this is World Penguin day as this is approximately the time most penguins migrate North from Antarctica as the weather worsens and temperatures plunge.
"Penguins suffer from a fall in fish stocks and from their icy homes being compromised by the loss of ice. However, they are not affected by this virus and there are few birds that induce a warmer feeling than these cold-water birds that cannot fly. There are even some in captivity in Chicago Zoo that have been given the complete run of the place as there are no visitors.
“Apart from a few research bases and some stations in George Island, no-one lives in Antarctica and there are only four permanent residents in South Georgia - and six million King Penguins. Life in the freezer sounds appealing right now.”
Photographer, presenter and guide Paul Goldstein has been leading expeditions on small vessels for twenty years on the 7th continent, frequently with the BBC's fabled naturalist and Conservationist Chris Packham. He works for Exodus Travels (www.exodus.co.uk).

Gordon Elliott with his reindeer Prancer shopping at his local garden centre in Enfield, North London, this week.
A grandfather has taken his pet Reindeer Christmas shopping around London in his black Taxi.
Gordon Elliott, 74, stunned shoppers by pulling up at his local garden centre with three-year-old Prancer in the back of his cab.
The pensioner then led him to the nearby florist and even stopped off at a burger bar before heading home.
Mr Elliott, who regularly takes Prancer out and about on the bus and even to his local pub, said: "We get lots of people staring and he gets a lot of attention. I guess a reindeer wandering around the town centre and going shopping is a bit of a strange sight.
"He loves going out in the taxi. It's a bit of a squeeze, but he just jumps straight in. I then put him on a lead to take him down the high street and we often go to the burger bar or pub before coming home.
"Sometimes we even go into town on the bus. He loves people and is always well-behaved."
