These are the last known photographs of Robin Williams, showing the comedian and his wife Susan just two days before his suicide. They went to Gallery Mine in Fairfax, California on Saturday night, August 9, 2014 for an exhibit by artist Mark Jaeger. Robin was in good spirits and nobody who saw him that night could ever imagine it would be the last time.
Robin Williams and Susan Schneider both knew artist Mark Jaeger. They stayed at the gallery after 6pm. Jaeger is also a ceramics teacher and was scheduled to teach Schneider's sons at Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield this week. Robin was a customer of Mark Jaegers and first to purchase a huge clay head from his superhero sculpture series. Jaeger told the Marin Independent Journal that Williams talked to him about developing Jaeger's everyday people as superheroes concept into a movie. Jaeger said "He was so generous. Every time I talked to him, he had such humility. I'm a nobody, and he made me feel like my work is important."
