    PIC SHOWS AUCTIONEER TERRY WOODCOCK WITH SOME OF THE MEMORABILIA UP FOR AUCTION.{br}A man has eaten a massive 10,000 Happy Meals to create the biggest collection of McDonald's memorabilia in the UK.{br} {br}The fast food fan has spent 10 years visiting McDonald's across the UK collecting more than 7,000 items, including toys, boxes and posters.{br} {br}The rare McMemorabilia, which features the only known complete set of the 101 Dalmations figures in their original bags, is now up for auction and could fetch as much as GBP 20,000.{br} {br}"It's one of the most unique collections that's ever been on the market," said Terry Woodcock, owner of Unique Auctions, Lincoln, where the sale is taking place.{br} {br}"The interest has been quite phenomenal and we're expecting to attract buyers from all over the world."{br} {br}The seller, a dad in his early 40's, began his collection in 1990, five years after McDonald's started producing advertising memorabilia.{br} {br}It includes hundreds of rare promotional posters and at least 200 different Happy Meal boxes, some of which have never been used.{br} {br}But the lots expected to attract the most interest are the 72 toy displays from 1990 to 1999, complete with a full compliment of toys.{br} {br}"One of the most valuable lots is likely to be a complete set of the 101 Dalmation figures, still in their original plastic bags from around Christmas 1996," said Mr Woodcock.{br} {br}"These toys were packed in opaque white plastic bags and sent to restaurants in boxes containing only one type of toy and no one else is thought to have the complete set.{br} {br}"It could have taken him up to 10,000 meals to collect all of them."{br} {br}SEE COPY CATCHLINE Fan eats 10 000 Happy Meals

The first McDonald's was opened in San Bernardino, Calif. by brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald in 1940. The first McDonald's franchise opened in Phoenix in 1953 using the arches logo. Businessman Ray Kroc joined the company as a franchise agent in 1955 and subsequently purchased the restaurants from the McDonald brothers founding the McDonald's chain. Today McDonald's is one of the world's largest restaurant chains, serving approximately 68 million customers daily in 119 countries and with 1.5 million on staff is the second largest private employer company in the world.
