The Royal Palace on the Dam in the center of Amsterdam, will reopen its doors on June 14 to the public, after being completely renovated for the past several years.
Originally built as Amsterdam's city hall between 1648 and 1665, it became a palace in 1808.
Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands uses the Dam Palace for state visits, New Year's receptions and other official entertaining.
The palace is open to the public every day during the summer months and expects to receive about 100,000 visitors this year.
