Katherine Flynn and Jane Seymour, 'Making Magic Happen', the 4th Annual Los Angeles Gala for the Christopher Reeve Foundation, took place in Los Angeles last night. The evening honoured actress Jane Seymour with the 2008 Philanthropy Award and former Indy Racing League Driver Sam Schmidt with the 2008 Visionary Leadership Award. Seymour was friends with Christopher Reeve - who was paralysed when he fell off a horse in 1995 - for nearly 20 years. Sam Schmidt was left paralysed after a racing accident in 2000, but regained control of his life thanks to the support of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. This Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy.

'Making Magic Happen', the 4th Annual Los Angeles Gala for the Christopher Reeve Foundation, took place in Los Angeles last night.
