29 August 2009 - Pathum Thani, Thailand - A mass ordination of 12000 Thai men from all over Thailand in to Buddhist monkhood at the Phra Dhammakaya temple on the outskirts of Bangkok. The temple was founded in 1970 and covers an area of 4 square kilometers, land which was donated by wealthy followers. A community of 3,000 monks, novices, laymen and laywomen live permanently at the temple making it the largest temple in Thailand in terms of inhabitants.
