The memorial service is in honor of victims of the mass shooting at a Safeway grocery store that killed six and injured at least 13 others, including U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords (Democrat of Arizona), who remains in critical condition after being shot in the head. Among those killed were U.S. District Judge John Roll, 63; Giffords' director of community outreach, Gabe Zimmerman, 30; and 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green.

The seas' largest predators leap nearly vertically out of the waves at speeds of to catch Cape (or Brown) Fur Seals swimming close to the surface.
The area is acknowledged as the best in the world to witness sharks breaching and taking to the air.
This is due to the presence of around 64,000 Cape Fur seals that call Seal Island (measuring just 800 metres by 50 metres) home from April to September.
The average Great White here measures 8-16ft, with reports suggesting the biggest was a 19ft 6in giant, spotted in 1997.

The shooting happened at about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday after De Vries appeared on RTL Boulevard, an entertainment TV show. A video circulating on social media showed him lying motionless on the street, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. De Vries is known for his involvement in the investigation of the mysterious disappearance of American Natalee Holloway in Aruba. With his TV-report about the disappearance he won an Emmy Award in 2008 in the category Current Affairs.

BLACK CRACK - THE SCOURGE OF TEHRAN
Far from the eyes of the Western press and its views on Iranian politics and religious ideologies, lie the forgotten, the unwanted and the wretched - the hordes of Tehran's drug addicts.
While our general belief of Iran being a strict Muslim state may be more or less correct, many of us may not realise that it has a very liberal and enlightened approach to tackling its people's drug problems.
However, maybe this is more out of necessity than choice: Iran has the largest heroin problem in the entire world and a ballooning rate of Aids cases on the back of it.
Exacerbating this problem is the nature of the drug that most of these scores of thousands of addicts are hooked on: compressed, crystallised heroin - aka black crack.
Most people associate the slang word 'crack' with cocaine, but in fact it simply refers to the crystal form of a drug and the noise made when heated.
In this case 'black crack' is something of a misnomer, as it is in fact white heroin, compressed and considerably purer, stronger and hence even more dangerous than brown heroin.
Its manufacture process entails heroin being added to water which is boiled, then distilled to purify the drug by passing it through a pipe to lose its heat. The end product, with a little help from sodium bicarbonate and other various pills and chemicals, should be the crystal, or 'crack', form of the drug.
Obviously the purity of the crack depends on the purity of the heroin used, a grade that can often be judged by the colour of the original heroin - usually somewhere between a cream and white colour, the darker the heroin, the more impurities it has.

Lebanon Bomb Attack in Aley
Soldiers in the city of Aley in the district of Jabal lebnan, west of Beirut, Lebanon on Wednesday evening, May 23, 2007 after a bomb went off, killing two people.
