Symbolic Grand Ring at Expo 2025 Osaka
April 9, 2022, Osaka, Japan: The Grand Ring at Expo 2025 Osaka is a symbolic venue which encircles most of the site's pavilions. Recorded by Guinness World Records as the world's largest wooden structure, it's two kilometer (1.2 mi.) circumference and 20 meter (65 ft.) height is constructed from thousands of Japanese cedar and cypress trees. Designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto in the style of Japanese temples and shrines, it is intended to express the concept of "Unity in Diversity".
