FEATURE - Virtuell Rennen gegen Usain Bolt in London

Equinox, the high-performance lifestyle leader, put London City workers through their world-record paces today (28Nov19) with the launch of ‘Bishopsgate Bolt’ – a cutting edge running track that pit participants against the world’s fastest runner in a virtual setting, right in the heart of the City.

Athlete Thom Evans was the first person to take on the challenge, completing the Bishopsgate Bolt in 10.93 seconds, 1.35 seconds behind the current world record.

The 20-metre-long, two-lane track was designed to determine each participant’s 10 metre sprint time with a five-metre run up and ending, ensuring the runner reached peak speed to record their fastest possible time.

The second lane featured LED chevrons that lit up to display the time it takes for the current fastest person on earth to run 10 metres, so the runner essentially put themselves to the test against the world’s best.

City workers were invited to take to the track on Thursday 28th November at Bishops Square. State-of-the-art laser technology tracked the finish line, recording each participant’s 10-metre time.

The Bishopsgate Bolt was created to mark the arrival of Equinox Bishopsgate. The ground-breaking club, opening on the 10th December 2019, will offer members an unmatched experience, including science-fuelled personal training, nutrition coaching, private Pilates, spa services, a luxury lounge and over 100 group fitness classes a week.

Furthermore, two new Equinox signature workouts will launch in the City-based club for the first time in the UK; The Pursuit, an immersive and tech-driven cycling class which uses leader board gaming to ignite competition, and the first Equinox signature heated yoga studio.

The Equinox Bishopsgate experience is designed to push and reward the City's high-achievers to maximise the potential in their lives. High performance has a new home.

    That's tHEIR Boy
With Prince Harry busy charming Jamaica it's clear to see that he is a chip off the old block.

Harry's 'Diamond Jubilee tour' trip has seen him visiting Jamaica, Belize, the Bahamas and Brazil.

Along the way he has taken part in a host of activities, including racing against Usain Bolt, dancing and playing polo.

Throughout, Harry's striking resemblance to his mother and father - Princess Diana and Prince Charles - has been clear to see.

In fact, in many ways the young Prince appears to be following directly in their footsteps.
