LEGO dévoile les premiers sets Pokémon
Picture MUST credit: LEGO Toy brick company LEGO has unveiled its first ever collection of highly Pokémon sets based on the pocket monster video games. There are three sets based on some of the most iconic Pokémon from the brand’s 30-year history/ The sets see five fan favourite Pokémon - Pikachu, Eevee, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise - recreated in LEGO brick form. And leading the way is a 2,050 piece build featuring yellow, lightning tailed Pikachu and Poké Ball. The set is meant to recreate one of the most iconic scenes from the franchise of Pikachu jumping out of the Poké Ball ready for battle. The 2,050-piece set features a black lightning rod shaped base, with lightning energy emitting from the Poké Ball as Pikachu exits, ready for action. The biggest set features Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise is a 6,838-piece display. Each figure is said to faithfully capture the original designs with their own unique articulation. These Pokémon can be displayed individually or together on a special base which hides easter-eggs for fans to discover as they build. Finally there is a 587-piece Eevee set that gives it an expressive face, movable tail, head and limbs allowing builders to pose the fan-favourite, either at rest or ready to jump into action.

71-year-old Pokemon Go fan, Umea, Sweden - 18 Mar 2017
Meet what must surely be the oldest Pokemon Go fan in the world - 71-year-old Roland Lundqvist. In 2011 Roland, who lives in Umea, Sweden, was advised by his doctor to get more exercise to help him with his health issues, including angina. So he dutifully took to the streets with his walker in order to cover 5km a day. One day, while walking with his neighbour, they began to talk about the popular Pokemon Go craze, which had been sweeping the world. After reading about it online Roland decided to try out the game and took his phone along with him on his next walk. According to Roland his hometown is the perfect setting and he alway finds lots of characters to catch. And while he admits that he might not be as ardent as some Pokemon Go fans, he does take his phone out with him on his walks, helping to pass the time as he gets some exercise.
