Hairdresser Katherine Bartlett has been crowned Britain?s strongest woman - despite being a dress size ten. Mum-of-two Katherine, who weighs a meager 62kg, has only been involved with the sport for three years but has made herself a household name with two titles under her belt. Katherine, 31, said: "I train five times a week for about 12 hours with a personal trainer that I have. "I have also recently set up a strong woman group and I run that for friends and other people interested in the sport. "I first watched Strongman on TV and I knew about the sport but it wasn?t until I went to a weightlifting gym until I got really interested. "There I met a woman who looked amazing and she took me along to one of the classes she goes to and I managed to flip their biggest tyre".

Major protest ride, Monday 20th August. A junction blocking protest was held at the junction of High Holborn, Southampton Row and Kingsway junction.
Following the death of Dr Peter Fisher, 67, on the morning of Wednesday 15th August, 2018, London Cycling Campaign members and supporters held a protest at the junction to highlight the danger of London’s most lethal junctions, and the lack of progress fixing them by the Mayor, TfL and many boroughs.
The immediate area around this junction has seen four fatal collisions with those cycling in the last five years (and seven serious injuries to those cycling), plus numerous collisions with pedestrians (including a fatal one). The latest collision was when Dr Fisher was killed while cycling, by a lorry just west of this junction.

A cyclist has died after a crash outside a south-east London train station. Police were called to Ravensbourne Park, outside Catford station, just after 6.30am on Wednesday after receiving reports of a collision between a lorry and a cyclist.The cyclist, a male, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin is yet to be informed.
There have been no arrests. The Met said "the lorry stopped a short while later". Road closures are also in place. Eyewitness Rosian Hewitt-Newell told the Standard: "The poor man. He was laying in the road for a good five minutes and no one checked to see if he was breathing. "Out of respect for him and his family no-one took any photographs.
