'Bruno' Film - Sacha Baron Cohen
'Bruno' Film - 2009
Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has reportedly apologised to Madonna by sending the singer flowers after spoofing her in his upcoming film 'Bruno'. The movie tells the story of an outrageous gay Austrian fashion correspondent hoping to make it big in Hollywood. In one scene the principal character jokes about celebrities who adopt foreign children. Later he is seen collecting an African baby from an airport baggage carousel before turning to the camera and commenting, "Angelina's got one, Madonna's got one, now Bruno's got one." An image released for the film also shows the flamboyant Bruno posing with his new child. Cohen apparently decided to apologise to Madonna in light of the fact her recent attempt to adopt a second Malawian child was denied. The singer adopted son David Banda from the country in 2006 amid controversy that she was receiving preferential treatment.
