Famous reading room in the Sorbonne library, accommodating 400 readers. The library first opened in 1770 with a collection of 20,000 books. It now houses 2.5 million volumes, including a collection of rare manuscripts, and occupies a 10,000m2 surface.

Official figures released 16 July 2007 showed Casino revenues in the gambling haven of Macau have shot up 50 percent year-on-year to a record 19.57 billion patacas (2.51 billion USD) in the second quarter of 2007.
