Sex Workers Demand Rights In Mexico City
October 13, 2025, Mexico, Cdmx, Mexico: Sewx workers rally to demand improved healthcare, opportunities for decent housing, justice for the femicides and transfemicides committed in the area's hotels, and the recent problem with the bike path the city government is building to improve tourist mobility during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as it is the avenue that leads to the Azteca Stadium. The workers comment that sex work is normal work and should be respected like any other economic activity. Because of the upcoming sporting event, conflicts are arising over water, housing, and the excessive price increases caused by gentrification. End Of The Fishing Ban
Fishermen load the fishing boat with bags of ice, and fishing resumes after the fishing ban in Molfetta, Italy, on September 30, 2025. As of yesterday, fishing boats in the Bari area (from Molfetta to Giovinazzo, Santo Spirito, Bari, Torre a Mare, Mola, and Monopoli) return to sea. After a month and a half, the 45 consecutive days of mandatory stoppage for trawlers, as ordered by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, expire. However, there are still problems: fishing companies wait for the subsidy for the 2023 and 2024 stoppage. (Photo by Davide Pischettola/NurPhoto)

  • ‘It became a compulsion’: how fertility forums took over.

‘It became a compulsion’: how fertility forums took over.
ÔIt became a compulsionÕ: how fertility forums took over my life. After years trying for a child without success, I sought solace in online message boards. Before long, I was spending hours a day poring over intimate posts, sharing everything with total strangers. Would it help?
Infertility is common: one in seven couples in the UK experience it, with 12% of women aged 25-34 and 17.7% of women aged 35-44 saying they have unsuccessfully tried to get pregnant. After two years of trying for a second child, I recently underwent three rounds of IVF. The first ended in a chemical pregnancy (an early miscarriage, occurring within the first few weeks); on the second, we banked the embryos as insurance; and on the third round in October 2020, I became pregnant with twins, but lost one. I now have a three-month-old baby girl.
So, like many women, I sought answers and solace in online message boards, niche Facebook groups and closed communities. I began by poring over photos of other womenÕs pregnancy tests; reading when they last had sex and in what position. I knew their partnersÕ sperm counts; I noted tips such as how to use a mooncup as a fertility aid. As I went through the different stages of my quest to get pregnant, I left behind the TTC (Òtrying to conceiveÓ) forums and moved on to closed Facebook groups, from IVF Support UK to Low Ovarian Reserve Support Group to IVF Babies Due Date Group.

NEWS - Grenfell Tower: Proteste gegen die Reichen
August 10, 2017 - London, UK - London, UK. 10th August 2017. A woman who was being driven past the protest by the Peoples Republic Of North Kensington outside Duke's Lodge, a large block of flats in Holland Park and stoped to talk with the protesters speaks to Ian Bone of Class War who lived in Grenfell Tower in the 1980s. She owned a flat on the 4th floor and had spent £40,000 on interior decoration or her flat before she and the other residents were forced out very much against their wishes after the block was bought by developers. The vacant block is owned by the Candy brothers, whose plans to demolish the large block and replace it by 3 luxury villas were turned down by the council and the owners have now put the site on the market for £70 million, roughly twice the amount they paid for it. The protest demanded Kensington & Chelsea Council compulsory purchase the empty block and refurbish its 27 flats as housing for families displaced by the Grenfell fire, around a 15 minute walk away. Grenfell residents want to remain in the local area and remain as a community - despite which at least one family have already been rehoused by the council in Peterborough - and this, along with empty flats on the Sutton Estate would be an ideal location. She owned a flat on the 4th floor and had spent £40,000 on interior decoration or her flat before she and the other residents were forced out very much against their wishes after the block was bought by developers.
