Vertical Horizons 2nd Edition: Photographer extends his photo series showing cityscapes of Hong Kong
French photographer first Romain Jacquet-Lagreze stunned with his vertical shots of Hong Kong's architecture.
He has since decided to release a second edition of the book featuring 56 photos from the first book and 22 new vertigo- inducing images.
The second book, called 'Vertical Horizon 2nd Edition' was released last month. (17 May 2014)
The 27-year-old photographer has lived in Hong Kong for more than four years.
He explains: "I bought my first reflex camera soon after I arrived here; it is this city that made me want to do photography. Living in an urbanised place, I naturally specialised myself in cityscape and architecture shots."
Romain explains that he had great feedback after releasing the fist book and was able to exhibit his work for the first time.
"Somehow in April or May in 2013 my photos went viral on the internet. Then I was contacted by press from all around the world and my photos were featured in major publications in the UK, France, Spain and many other countries."
The photographer explains that seeing the enthusiasm and interest in his work gave him the motivation to further 'Vertical Horizon'.
"Hong Kong is a big city which is evolving very quickly so I was confident I could find some new spots," says Romain.
His immaculate new photographs illustrate the city's ever growing skyline.

What if you could see Wi'Fi - 25 Jul 2013

What if You Could See Wi-Fi...
What If You Could See WiFi?
Although we use it often, we rarely think about how it works. Now, American artist Nickolay Lamm has worked with former NASA Astrobiologist M. Browning Vogel to produce these colourful depictions illustrating wifi waves.
One image featuring New York's Central Park shows an idealised wifi data transmitted over a band that is divided into different sub-channels, which are shown in red, yellow, green and other colours.
Another image featuring Washington D.C.s National Mall depicts Wifi waves travelling through space as rapid, data encoded pulses or waves. A 'freeze frame' of these pulses shows that the pulses are about 6 inches apart.
Nickolay explains: "Wifi routers or antenna can be attached to trees, buildings, lamp posts and other structures. A typical outdoor router can project its signal 300 feet or more from its location. Objects such as trees can obstruct the signal such that it has to be augmented by multiple wifi routers placed in different positions."
