The Wedding Crashers star, has three kids by three different women and who owns a $4 million Malibu beach home, was packing up outside his house in Santa Monica. At home point he was seen carrying a kettle bell weight in a plastic bag, while his companion helped with a basket of clothes, a pot plant and other bags of provisions. Both of them - who were helped by a female assistant - were dressed casually, in sweat pants and workout trainers.

    Jack The Balancing Dog
    Who's a good boy!

Jack the dog is the most level-headed dog you'll see - he balances household items on his head.

The three-year-old quite happily poses for pictures for owners Nicole Lee and boyfriend Trey, who adopted him as a puppy.

And the Australian cattle dog is happy to impress by balancing items including a football, books, a kettle, and an egg - all in return for the cheers and praise of his San Franciscan owners.

Nicole, 27, a biologist, explains: "He is an Australian cattle dog and is probably mixed with something, but we don't know. From an early age we noticed he was very smart, so we taught him many tricks, this being one of them. He learned how to play fetch when he was 8 weeks old!

"The balancing act started when we tried balancing a kernel of popcorn on his nose one night while watching a movie at home. We quickly learned he was patient enough to allow us to stack really anything on his head (as long as it's not too heavy).

"We train him by positively reinforcing good behaviours and ignoring the "wrong" ones; basically just a lot of cheering around here. He responds really well to praise, so we use that as a reward, as well as the ball.

"We've had to continue to teach him more challenging tricks as we go along...most recently we taught him to shut all the kitchen cabinets and open the refrigerator. He's a fun guy!"

Small enough to be used legally on the pavement or inside a shop, the GBP 5,500 QTvan is so named because it caters to three peculiarly British obsessions: caravans; queuing and tea. The tiny caravan is ideally suited to queuing overnight for the sales or tickets for Wimbledon fortnight, and boasts tea-making facilities to make any long wait bearable.According to the Environmental Transport Association (ETA), the QTvan is ideal for the estimated 220,000 people who use a mobility scooter without breakdown cover, and who face the prospect of a very long wait should they suffer a mechanical fault or their battery runs flat. Spokesman for the ETA, Yannick Read, said: (FOTO:DUKAS/REX)

    Lock's - The Hat Shop

There are exclusive shops in most of the world's great cities , but in few cities are the most exclusive quite like those of London . It would be almost true to say that the more exclusive a London shop , the less impressive it is from outside . Many of them , particularly those around St . James's - '' Club Land '' - in the West End , look more like well - preserved pawn - brokers ' establishments in dock area . One such is Lock's the Hatter's . From the street , the shop looks like a relic , slowly design from lack of custom . There is no bustle , no neon, and certainly there's never a queue ; yet it is to Lock's that the Duke of Windsor , the Duke of Edinburgh , the Duke of Norfolk , Sir Anthony Eden , and most of the names from Debrett come for their headgear .

Picture shows:- .... The hat is dried off ; when dry it will retain the shape imposed upon it by the block .

    Up the Film Ladder .

For lovely Sylvia Syms and Tony Britton the latest picture ' The Birthday Presents ' which they are making together, could set the seal on their success as film stars. Sylvia has appeared in only two previous films, while Tony has only ' Loser Takes All ' to his credit. Both have been tipped for stardom and the film experts are asking themselves ' could they be the romantic team British pictures needs-another Anne Neagle-Michael wilding pair?' In ' The Birthday Present ' they portray a young married couple who get caught up in a series of events which follow the husband's one thoughtless, impetuous action. The present? A diamond wristlet watch.
