Each year the biggest secret of the leaders' meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation group (APEC) is what colourful national costume the leaders will be expected to wear for the official end-of-session photo. With this year's meeting being held in Lima, Peru, all of the 21 assembled leaders today donned a large, brown poncho for the photos after being led on stage by Peruvian President Alan Garcia. At the meeting itself the current global financial crisis was once again top of the agenda. Those attending the three-day conference vowed to act "quickly and decisively" to battle the issue. The event marked George Bush's final scheduled foreign trip as US president.
