SOUTH AFRICA-SHARPEVILLE-ANTI-APARTHEID-COMMEMORATION
(110321) -- SHARPEVILLE, March 21, 2011 (Xinhua) -- A local resident takes part in a parade paying tribute to the predecessors of the anti-apartheid protest in Sharpeville, South Africa, March 21, 2011. South Africans held nationwide events on Monday to commemorate the Sharpeville massacre in which dozens of people were killed during an anti-apartheid protest 51 years ago. A primary school teacher who received death threats after being falsely accused on Twitter of daubing racist graffiti on the wall of a London bar today said his life had been ¿ripped apart¿. Staff at the bar contacted police after spotting the words ¿No n*****s¿ daubed on a wall near its forecourt. News of the shocking incident spread quickly on social media, with some users falsely naming Mr Turnham, a teacher at Dulwich Hamlet Junior School, as the racist vandal.

A statue of the man who founded the Scouts movement is to be removed from Poole Quay amid fears it is on a "target list for attack".
The 12-year-old statue of Robert Baden-Powell is being removed on police advice to protect it, says Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council.
Local Conservative MPs said they were opposed to the removal of the statue.
Baden-Powell, who died aged 83 in 1941, has been criticised by campaigners who have accused him of racism, homophobia and support for Adolf Hitler.
