But one thing is certain - that she is always willing to put her fame and her talent to generous free use for a worthy charity - and especially for children charities . Just now she is appearing in cabaret in London at the Cafe de Paris . But recently she was the star turn in a huge midnight charity matinee organised by Noel Coward in aid of the Actor's Orphanage , of which he is President . This show raised over £10,000 for the Orphanage . Soon afterwards , President Noel took Marlene - the biggest money - spinner on his bill - down to see the children of the Orphanage in their fine building in Chertsey in Surrey . The sun for once was shone , the 32 boys and girls were scrupulously washed and tidied up m and at 5 o'clock up drove a gleaming Rolls Royce and out stepped Coward and Dietrich .

Jayne Jubb with her pet tattoos, A terminally ill woman is having all her beloved pets tattooed on her body so she can take them with her when she dies. Jayne Jubb, 47, who shares her home with more than 20 animals, including racoons, fish, snakes and a fox, has already had half of them drawn on her neck, arms and back. She is now hoping to get an iguana tattooed on her neck and still find space for her pet snakes, dogs and cockatiels. "When I was diagnosed with lung cancer and told I didn't have long to live I knew I couldn't take my animals with me, so I decided to get the tattoos," she said. "I've always liked tattoos and had a couple done before and this seemed like a good way of keeping my pets with me."

A terminally ill woman is having all her beloved pets tattooed on her body so she can take them with her when she dies.
Jayne Jubb, 47, who shares her home with more than twenty animals, including racoons, a piranha, snake and a fox, has already had half of them drawn across her neck, arms and back.
She is now hoping to get an iguana tattooed on her neck and still find space for her pet snake, dogs and cockatiels.
"When I was diagnosed with lung cancer and told I didn't have long to live I knew it would be my animals I'd miss the most," she said.
"So I came up with the idea of getting all the animals tattooed over my body.
"My husband thought I was a bit crazy at first but I've always liked tattoos and this seemed like a good way of keeping my pets with me forever."
Jayne, who was diagnosed with lung cancer in April 2007 and told she had between eighteen months and three years to live, has always been passionate about animals.
She became even more animal crazy after working at the Exotic Pet Refuge in Peterborough, Cambs, and left to ...

UK MAMMALS GET STAMP OF APPROVAL
Wildcats, whales and water voles are all stars of a new set of Royal Mail stamps aimed at highlighting the UK mammal population's struggle for survival.
Dormice, bats, otters and polecats all also appear on the ten 1st Class stamps that have been released to celebrate the International Year of Biodiversity (IYB) in 2010.
The new collection, entitled 'Mammals', is the fourth in Royal Mail's Action For Species series, which has previously featured birds, insects and plants.
The UK and its coastline is home to more than 60 species of mammals, and while many are thriving others have seen their populations decline.
Even the seemingly prevalent hedgehog has been harmed due to loss of habitat from more intensively managed farmland, pollution and growth in roads and housing.
Dr Robert Bloomfield, UK co-ordinator of the IYB, said: "These stamps illustrate that even some of the most loved UK species, which we consider common or familiar, are under threat".
Royal Mail head of special stamps, Julietta Edgar, said the images were designed to deliver "an important conservation message through millions of letter boxes".

Her name is Cruella and she has rather unusual looks, but that hasn't stopped this tiny little bat from stealing the hearts of staff at a wildlife sanctuary in Somerset.
The one-week-old long eared bat is currently being cared for by staff at the Secret World Wildlife Rescue centre.
She was discovered abandoned on the ground in Minehead by a member of the public.
It is believed that her mother may have dropped her during flight.
Thankfully she came through the ordeal without injury and is now being hand reared.
Currently, the youngster's large ears, which give her species its name, sit on the side of her head.
The resulting look means Cruella bears a passing resemblance to a gremlin from the 1984 film of the same name.
However, as she continues to grow her ears will eventually sit on top of her head.
Cruella will undergo rehabilitation at the Secret World rescue centre before being released into the wild.
Debbie O'Keefe, of Secret World, said: "The biggest challenge is getting her to self feed and keep muscle condition to sustain flight for long periods of time".
It is thought that Cruella will be able to fly within four weeks and she will be set free at the end of the summer.

Her name is Cruella and she has rather unusual looks, but that hasn't stopped this tiny little bat from stealing the hearts of staff at a wildlife sanctuary in Somerset.
The one-week-old long eared bat is currently being cared for by staff at the Secret World Wildlife Rescue centre.
She was discovered abandoned on the ground in Minehead by a member of the public.
It is believed that her mother may have dropped her during flight.
Thankfully she came through the ordeal without injury and is now being hand reared.
Currently, the youngster's large ears, which give her species its name, sit on the side of her head.
The resulting look means Cruella bears a passing resemblance to a gremlin from the 1984 film of the same name.
However, as she continues to grow her ears will eventually sit on top of her head.
Cruella will undergo rehabilitation at the Secret World rescue centre before being released into the wild.
Debbie O'Keefe, of Secret World, said: "The biggest challenge is getting her to self feed and keep muscle condition to sustain flight for long periods of time".
It is thought that Cruella will be able to fly within four weeks and she will be set free at the end of the summer.
