AUSTRALIA'S ' GORDON RICHARDS ' TO RIDE IN BRITAIN .
Jockey Arthur ' Scobie ' Breasley , 35, the ' Gordon Richards' of Australia, shown here back in the saddle after his trip from Australia. The horses Mr.J.V.Rank's ' Speed Test ', and the picture is taken at the rank stables, Druids Lodge, Middle Woodford, near Salisbury , Wilts. Here to ride for Mr. Rank next season, Beasley has never ridden outside of Australia before, though he has won most of the major races, except the Melbourne cup -- just as Britain's Gordon Richards has never won the derby. From Australia, Beasley has bought his wife, his daughter Loretta, aged 10, a ' good luck ' whip given to him by another jockey, and six saddles. He intends to stay in England if he likes it here.

GOOD OUTSIDER FOR ' NATIONAL '
Regarded as having a good outside his chance in the Grand National steeplechase-to be run at Aintree, Liverpool on March 25 - is Mr.F.S.Dyson's INVERLOCHY (pictured here with PAT DOYLE up). and in 11-year-old Bay gelding by Lochiel out of Hellenize . Inverlochy is trained by A.S.Kilpatrick . After an absence of five months from the race-course owing to injury, he recently ran second to the Royal chaser Monaveen at Hurst Park when Monaveen was conceding 19 pounds .
Last Saturday he had an impressive win in the manifesto stakes at Lingfield, beating Clonaboy by a length and a half with Knockirr third. This year's Grand National-in which will carry only 10 stone.3 pound-will be Inberlochy's first . ,

DULLER MEETS VAL DE L'AIR - NEW TRAINER FOR BARODA STRING .
The £100,000 string of sixteen racehorses belonging to the Maharaja Gaekwad of Baroda were removed from the trainer establishment of Thomas H.Carey at Epsom, Surrey, to the stables of their third trainer in four months - George Duller, former Champion hurdle racing jockey, whose establishment is also at Epsom. Mr.Carrie, who asked the Gaekwad to take the horses away, is reported to have commented : ' The Gaekwar and I have never been happy together'.
At the end of June, the owner transferred his horses from the Newmarket stables of trainer Fred Armstrong to Carey's stables.

Russian Hero , owned by Mr . W.F. Williamson and ridden by Leo McMORROW, 27 -year - old Irishman from Mountshannon ( Co . Slingo ) won the Grand National Steeplechase at Aintree , Liverpool .
He finished eight lengths ahead of Lord Bisector's Roimond 9 R . Francis up ) . Royal Mount , ownde by Mrs . M. Hervey and Ridden by P. Doyle , was third .
