Set throughout the Kings Cross neighbourhood are three iconic Christmas trees, each delivering an alternative, unexpected interpretation of the traditional festive tree.
The Electric Nemeton Tree, by Sam Jacob Studio, the 36ft high Electric Nemeton Tree draws on the origins of the Christmas tree tradition: the ancient forest and the symbolism of the midwinter tree. The design creates a space to walk through and an arresting sculptural object in the heart of Granary Square. The structure refers to ancient Celtic groves called Nemetons that were constructed using the natural landscape and acted as sacred gathering places.

Set throughout the Kings Cross neighbourhood are three iconic Christmas trees, each delivering an alternative, unexpected interpretation of the traditional festive tree.
The Electric Nemeton Tree, by Sam Jacob Studio, the 36ft high Electric Nemeton Tree draws on the origins of the Christmas tree tradition: the ancient forest and the symbolism of the midwinter tree. The design creates a space to walk through and an arresting sculptural object in the heart of Granary Square. The structure refers to ancient Celtic groves called Nemetons that were constructed using the natural landscape and acted as sacred gathering places.
