Queen of the Waves; Britain's silver surfer: Gwyn Haslock, who at 71 still surfs every day. Gwyn was Britain's first competitive female surfing champion and has been surfing since she learned from her father in the early 1960s. Here she is in the water on her 7ft mid size board. She also wears a specially made surfing helmet which she has done for ten years now after fearing injury from her fibre glass board blowing back at her in high winds.
